Atkins and Dieting, Camouflage that Big Belly and Fast Dieting

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

The explanations as to why we gain weight are readily available. Reasons given are the same old chestnuts like we don’t commit ourselves to a diet, no self-control, too greedy, bad planning etc.  You name it, and there’s an explanation out there!  But, truthfully, when it comes to getting and staying slim,  many of these half-baked “explanations”  are pretty unhelpful. The crux of the matter  over time  is whether our general way of eating  and calories consumed  are in-balance with  the amount of energy we need to sustain our particular way of life.

Is the solution to seriously take on a fashionable diet like Atkins? It is soon obvious that  the enforced regime  of our new diet  are incompatible with our normal eating habits.  Seemingly not under our control we return to our bad, convenient and lazy ways. And the heap of articles and books on good dieting and other special needs and requirements of the current diet we spend much of our money on, is still increasing.

It is possible that your diet is actually working against you and you should consider other options:

Now here’s a belly reduction tip I really like

Is your Belly getting beyond a Joke?

When females gain some weight, they often store excess water around their abdomens.  Avoid tight pullovers and blouses if this is the case.  Just wear something with a “V” shaped top  to distract the attention from your belly.  Consider wearing dark clothes because they give the illusion of a more slender image,  so why not try wearing: black on its own (very effective) or deep blue or red.

Reduce the size of your belly using this other little tip:

High Heels are Trendy

Boost your ego by wearing high heels because even if you haven’t yet got control of that diet they will boost your self-esteem  and they will give the appearance of longer legs,   therefore your body image will be more acceptable.

If you still feel overweight when wearing high heels then maybe you would want to consider fast weight loss.  It is not impossible to lose weight rapidly  but it makes sense to be  supervised by an authoritative person who  is well qualified in teaching about  healthy eating  - not necessarily a Doctor who may not be trained in this field in this sort of area. If you, under the appropriate supervision,  take a common sense line with dieting and a  pill to help you feel less hungry that is recommended and effective  along with regular exercise,  then some of that excess flab will start to fall off.

Make and keep plans for your meals before  sitting down to have your meal and don’t try to delay it as much as possible  before you tuck into your meal -  try to avoid getting starving hungry  and ending up wolfing down  as much food as possible. With some careful planning,  (and, alas, the extra time involved),  you can forfeit those lovely (but fattening) chips and instead have some boiled new potatoes cooked with a little mint, and probably end up better enjoying the meal.

Are You a disillusioned Atkins Dieter? Belly Full gives an Eye Full

Take care with diets that are very much a gimmick or fad  and try to encourage us to change our normal eating habits.   They will almost inevitably fail.  Only consider a practical diet,  nutritious and in-balance  with your everyday energy requirements.  Do this, and you are on your way to that slimmer body.

With our  time-constrained ways of life both at home and work, trying to find  some unaccounted for time can be a challenge.  Spending hours, or even days trying to adjust to a new diet plan  is not only unrealistic, but is  not everyone’s cup of tea! It’s not that  Atkins, Weight Watchers, South Beach or any other commercial diet can’t help us to lose weight.  Ask almost anybody,  and they will  say  that it’s pretty easy to lose the first few pounds, which it is!

It is relatively easy to  quickly lose some weight on virtually any diet. The problem  is shown later  when we  weigh ourselves again  six months  hence.  Our  enthusiastic hopes  for losing weight  get crushed  when we  grow to understand  that our weight, like the prodigal son of Biblical report, is here to stay.

We soon find that  the restrictions  of our ambitious diet  are unworkable with our current lifestyle.  Almost by magic  we’re back to our old unhealthy, but more convenient way of eating.  And the pile of dieting books  and other information to do with anything about dieting  we spend big chunks of our wages on,  continues to grow.

It is possible that your diet is actually working against you and you should consider other options:

Here is one good  belly reduction tip:

A Raised Heel means a Raised Spirit

Although high heels are not very comfortable, they do help you to look great  because even if you are a bit tubby  they will boost your self-esteem  and they will create the sensation of a long leg,  therefore your siluette will appear slimmer.

Consider this useful tip to cope with a too large belly:

Access your Accessories

Make good use of scarves,  glove cut-offs, earrings  and any kinds of jewellery.  The explanation is quite simple actually:   people’s attention will be  distracted  from areas that you are not so proud of,  such as your huge thighs,  and consequently  you won’t get embarrassing remarks like:  “Did you gain some weight?”.  The solution to distracting people from those extra bulges is  to have an understanding of the best way to dress.

Carefully picking the best clothes  will make you look unchanged  until you can shift those extra pounds again and  get back in control of your diet.
