Hypertension, High Blood Pressure, and Persistent Hypertension
|
Hypertension, which is High blood pressure often caused by stress, is a medical condition whereby the blood pressure has become dangerously high. It is believed that hypertension, particularly persistent hypertension, can result in more chance of the patient having a heart attack, stroke, heart failure, kidney failure, or developing an aneurysm in any of the arteries which is where the artery wall becomes weakened and the artery starts to blow up like a balloon; this aneurysm can eventually actually burst which is then extremely serious and if immediate medical help is not sought, the patient will die.
It's not just how much you weigh that's important: It also matters where your body stores extra
fat. Your body shape is determined from your genes which were inherited from your parents. Some people
are Apple-shaped; these have extra fat at the waist while others are pear
shaped having more fat at their hips and thighs. The former have higher health risks than
the later. |
