Grapefruits might initially seem like an ideal part of someone’s diet if they are overweight, but there are many potentially bad health effects associated with grapefruits and grapefruit juice:
Grapefruit interactions with some medications can cause negative effects, especially on kidney level, and sometimes it can even be fatal. A woman that uses birth control pills and then suddenly drinks too much grapefruit juice can get pregnant because this juice makes the effects of the pills disappear.

Look out for the Symptoms of Diabetes
Psychological and emotional stress among mothers may trickle down to their kids and increase their children’s risk of having diabetes. Mothers who experienced a stressful event such as divorce, domestic violence, mental tension and work pressure have an increased risk of developing diabetes. Parents who are often stressed out or are having problems is the number one stressor among children. Without the parent’s knowledge, children may get stressed, raising level of cortisol - also called the “stress hormone”.
