Exercise, combined with a healthy diet, is the best way to lose weight. Exercise will most definitely speed up the fat loss program, but it is not necessary to see results. The right amount of weight that the average person can lose in one week by eating correctly and doing exercises is around 2-3 pounds. A half hour of moderate exercise daily is the minimum activity level for healthy weight loss. You can start with light cardiovascular exercises like walking, stationary cycle, swimming, etc. Walking is a surprisingly easy and efficient way to burn calories, and is very pleasant as well.

When you seriously start to consider how to lose weight, you will see that there are hundreds of weight loss plans available, all of which will claim to be better than the next one. Consider how each affects your body and health, and how each plan fits into your lifestyle, routine, and with your family. Try and get your whole family involved in a healthier lifestyle and diet so that you will all be giving support to the other members of your family.


Try to plan your meals well ahead of actually eating times and try not to leave it too late before you have your meal in order to avoid getting starving hungry and wolfing down as much food as possible. With some careful planning (and more time spent unfortunately), you can substitute those quick and easy chips for some boiled new potatoes cooked with a little mint, and probably enjoy the meal much more.
